Region In California:
Gabrielino Native American Tribe
The Gabrielino Tribe lived on the California coast near to what is now the city of Los Angeles.
They killed animals and used their fur for clothing. The women wore deer skin aprons, and the men and children wore almost nothing.
The Gabrielinos caught most of their food in the Pacific Ocean. The food included; tuna, swordfish, sharks, shellfish, mussels and salmon.
This tribe made their homes by placing poles upright in a circle and bending them to meet in the middle. Then, they would place bundles of tule (a type of reed) on to the top and sides for a roof and walls.
